The Cooper-Anthony Mercy Child Advocacy Center hosted a Child Abuse Prevention Rally to raise awareness in the fight against and funds toward the treatment of child abuse victims. Hundreds were on hand to hear a keynote speech from Arkansas’ First Lady, Susan Hutchinson, and other passionate talks and testimonies.
Patrick McCruden, Chief Mission Integration Officer, SSM Health recanted the history of the center, and was also honored by having the “Super-Hero Award” being renamed after him.
The crowd was treated to a couple of rousing songs performed by the Lakeside Intermediate School third grade choir and a touching rendition of “Angels Among Us” by Don Gooch, Market President of Arvest Bank. It was a beautiful rally focusing on the wonderful and vital work done by the Child Advocacy Center.
