Elizabeth Bright, Nurse Navigator was named Service Hero in Hot Springs for displaying the value of EXCELLENCE. Elizabeth (Liz) is such an inspiration and influential coworker that is willing to help in any area of the department and cover nursing duties when needed. She is continually a steward of our resources, while constantly looking out for the safety of patients, coworkers, compliance of policies, patient care techniques and clinical oversight. She is excellent with patients and has a tremendous dedication to our organization. Liz has brought in toys from the outside for patients who have children so they can choose a gift from a basket to keep them busy while they wait, or just to cheer them up.

Liz is calm in urgent situations where patients are very sick or are having a medical crisis. She is a resource for nursing care knowledge. She never says, “No,” and always has a smile on her face. Liz has been instrumental in helping Dr. Pruitt and team develop and maintain a head and neck program where nutritional supplements, skin cream and other products are offered to patients in attempt to help them maintain body weight while undergoing radiation therapy.

She represents each of our values in action. She is a true model coworker and deserving of this Service Hero award.
