Dr. Doug Ross Named Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Doug Ross has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at CHI St. Vincent. He succeeds Dr. Tom Cummins in this role.

Dr. Ross served as the Vice President of Medical Affairs in Hot Springs since the acquisition from Mercy in 2014. He has a passion for Quality, Safety, and Patient Experience and has been a key member of the team in leading improvements in our Living Our Mission journey.

In addition to his role as VP of Medical Affairs, Dr. Ross was instrumental in the development of our integrated Emergency Medicine group that includes Hot Springs, Infirmary, Morrilton, North and Conway Regional Health System. Dr. Ross also oversees the Hospitalist Program.

Dr. Ross joined the team in Hot Springs in 2003 as an Emergency Medicine Physician. During his time in Hot Springs, he served as Chief of Staff, Medical Director of Informatics and Emergency Department Medical Director.

Dr. Ross has an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas. He attended University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of South Carolina. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Ross will office in Hot Springs but will have system level responsibility over medical affairs.
