Get Ahead of the Flu, Get Your Shot by Dec. 1

The best time to get the flu shot is before it spreads and starts showing up in our hospitals and care centers. By getting your vaccine in September or October, you have time to build up your immunity before flu season kicks into high gear.

The flu vaccine is required for all employees, physicians, volunteers, students, vendors and others.

Please be sure that you either receive the flu vaccine or submit a personal declination for the vaccine by Dec. 1, 2023.

Everyone who declines the vaccine must wear a mask at all times while in CommonSpirit Health facilities except when in “mask-free zones.” These mask-free zones may be subject to other masking requirements due to other applicable policies.

Employees who received their flu vaccines through Employee Health don’t have to take any action. If you’d like to submit a personal declination, click here Submission Process.

We want to make getting a flu shot super easy! That’s why Employee Health will be rounding at each location on the following days and times:

  • Infirmary
    • October 12, 21, 27, 31 and November 8, 11, 14
  • Hot Springs
    • October 13, 23 and November 7, 9, 18
  • North
    • October 5, 9, 17, 20, 24, 30 and November 2, 4, 6, 12-13, 16

Employee Health will round throughout all units/departments at the following locations starting at 5:00am.
