Congratulations to CHI St. Vincent CEO Chad Aduddell on his Missioning to Leadership Service held Dec. 3 at the Infirmary Chapel.
Administered by Bishop Anthony B. Taylor, the missioning service formally installs Aduddell as market CEO. He was given a framed copy of CHI St. Vincent’s mission statement and asked to commit to the “core values” of Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence. The medical staff, board members and other co-workers also were asked to support Aduddell as he leads CHI St. Vincent.
Andrew Kumpuris, M.D., called Aduddell forward.: “To be missioned is to be both called and sent forth. Catholic Health Initiatives calls upon you to help nurture the healing ministry of the Church by bringing it new life, energy and viability in the 21st century. It also calls upon you to emphasize human dignity and social justice as we move toward the creation of healthier communities. He then asked Aduddell to lead with Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Exellence.
The CHI Prayer
Gracious God, in union with our sisters and brothers across the country we pray for your blessing upon the ministry we share in Catholic Health Initiatives. Grace us with a spirit of Reverence for the individuals and communities we serve, a spirit of Integrity in our collaboration with each other, a spirit of Compassion in our healing efforts, and a spirit of Excellence in how we do what we do. May the mission and vision of those who began our coordinated ministry come alive in us as we continue their legacy of care. And in our every interaction on this Emmaus journey together, may we discover the innovative power of our spiritual story — as bread, broken and shared, for the life of the world. We pray this through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives among us as Prophetic Servant, forever and ever. Amen!
