Angela Kuntz Celebrated as Infirmary DAISY Award Winner

Congratulations Angela Kuntz, RN in Little Rock, for being recognized with the DAISY Award in June.
Angela was nominated by a patient’s family for her kindness during the end of his life.
The patient’s family said Angela showed the utmost care as she walked them through turmoil. They described her as the perfect nurse who is knowledgeable and loving.
“She inspires me, a future RN, to be the best nurse and emulate her example. I will be very excited to work alongside such an example. I will forever recommend the care of St. Vincent’s to everyone based on how she treated her patient.“
The DAISY Award was established by the DAISY Foundation in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at 33 of ITP, an auto-immune disease. The Barnes Family was awestruck by the clinical skills, caring and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created the national award to thank nurses everywhere.
