Attitude of Love and Attentiveness in Hot Springs DAISY Award Honoree

Hot Springs has another new DAISY Award winner, and it’s Angelia Yates, RN, who works on 5E! Angelia was nominated by a coworker who had nothing but praise for the way she conducts herself with patients and with her team. Here’s Angelia’s nomination:

“To narrow it down to one specific situation regarding how she goes above and beyond would be an impossible job to do. I work closely with her daily and she is the definition of a wonderful human being to those that are in their most vulnerable state of illness. Every moment I encounter her, I am sure to see her big smile regardless of the many hats that she may be wearing or directions she may be pulled. Her loving demeanor goes beyond the interaction with her co-workers, but even more importantly to the care and compassion of the patients. She is so attentive to every single person, never rushing a conversation, but instead providing a listening ear and warm heart to even the most complex of patients. She is quick to stop what she is doing to help any staff member, diffuse escalating situations, and to teach others while leading by example. She is a crucial part of the multidisciplinary roundings and I have witnessed multiple times where she has had a good catch to a patient’s plan of care. She is the prime example of a nurse that has an encouraging, compassionate, loving, positive, and Christ-like nature that I know CHI is abundantly blessed to have. She is a gem to this ministry, and I thank her for being a part of the 5E team!”

Congratulations, Angelia, and thank you for your excellence in service and heart. We appreciate you! If you know of a nurse coworker who has gone the extra distance for their patients, you should nominate them for a DAISY Award! Click this link and fill out the form to let us know about their excellent work.
