Austin New Vice President for Human Resources

Aaron Austin became the new Vice President of Human Resources on May 9.

Prior to joining CHI St. Vincent, Aaron served as HR Vice President at Sinai Health System in Chicago.  The system consists of four hospitals, 4000 employees and 160 integrated physicians. Prior to that, he was with Trinity Health System at St. Mary Mercy in Michigan, a 304-bed acute care hospital.

In his 20 year career in the U.S. Navy, Aaron was an operations specialist. He developed a strong background in recruitment, organizational development and training, leadership development and employee relations. Aaron also has a proven track record for driving improvement and results and is highly regarded for his collaborative style and ability to build relationships.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.  Aaron completed a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
