Cafeteria Worker Named Service Hero
Congratulations to Maya Dillard of the food and nutrition services team at the Infirmary on being named a CHI St. Vincent Service Hero! Maya is well known for her cheerful greetings and remembering everyone’s name when they check out. Her attitude was a blessing for the family of one patient, who nominated her for the award:
“From our first stay at this hospital on April 4, Maya has shown compassion and caring. She asks how my husband is, how I am, and shows authentic concern. Her spirit shines. We have now been here for a full month, and she continues to be the best part of my morning. Just seeing the smile and hearing the wishes for a better day are uplifting and hopeful. She deserves recognition, a raise, a promotion, or whatever might come by my small effort to give her some praise! Keep smiling, Maya. It truly helps us heal.”
Thank you, Maya, for having such a lasting, positive impact on those who come into our hospital. If you know of a coworker who has made a positive impact on a patient or a teammate, nominate them for a CHI St. Vincent Service Hero Award! Click this link and fill out the form to sing their praises!
