Case Manager Honored for Going the Extra Mile

Congratulations to Sherri Meyer, RN Case Manager, for receiving the February GEM award (“Going the Extra Mile”)! Sherri was recognized by two coworkers who took notice of the way she always makes sure her patients have the care they need. Here are the two nominations:

“Sherri went above and beyond to advocate for a patient to ensure they had a safe discharge plan. Even though Sherri received push back from the physicians, Sherri still ensured that the patient was well taken care of, and had a safe discharge plan. Way to go Sherri!”

“Sherri goes above and beyond to care for her patients and make their days better while in the hospital. Recently, she spoke with a patient to calm her nerves about going to rehab and went and got her a soda after it was cleared by the nurses. Sherri is also a great coworker and I am inspired by her daily! Way to go Sherri!!”
