CommonSpirit Health Moves to Google Meet for Virtual Meetings

On Tuesday, Feb. 17, CommonSpirit Health will move to Google Meet as the default platform for all business meetings. Zoom will remain the platform for all patient interactions, including telehealth appointments and other patient care.

Google Meet is Google’s video conferencing service that allows users to host online meetings, virtual classes and collaboration sessions.  This application provides a seamless experience across desktops, smartphones and tablets and integrates with Google’s other applications including Gmail, Chat, and Drive. Google Meet can support up to 1,000 simultaneous attendees.

If you have questions or want to learn more about Google Meet, CommonSpirit has some resources for you. Training materials are available on the CommonSpirit Google site, including tip sheets, videos and live trainings. There’s also a Meet FAQ page that addresses some of the most common questions and feedback about Google Meet.
