Coworkers Encouraged to Wear Blue for National Diabetes Awareness Month

More than likely, you know someone who has diabetes. According to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, diabetes affects about 37 million Americans, including adults and youth.

November is National Diabetes Month, and CHI St. Vincent is encouraging coworkers to wear blue throughout the month to raise awareness!

Coworkers are asked to take a photo in their blue attire and submit it for a prize!

In appreciation of showing off your photos wearing blue, the CHI Wellness Team and Arkansas Health Network will be doing a random drawing for prizes.

Also, the International Diabetes Federation has designated the blue circle as a symbol for Diabetes Circle Awareness.

You can spice up your photo by using the blue circle selfie app. Click this link to download it: https://worlddiabetesday.org/resources/wdd2021-23/blue-circle-selfie-app/
