DAISY Award for North RN’s Care of Seizure Patient
We’re happy to announce that Charmaine Fontanos, RN at North, has been recognized with the DAISY Award! Charmaine received this honor for her care of a high-need patient who had been suffering seizures. Here’s what the family had to say about her:
“Charmaine was so sweet when my daughter was admitted. She was the one who had to ask her all those questions and she was so patient and made her feel so at ease. Charmaine took the time to answer all our questions. She really made us feel welcomed and made sure we had blankets and pillows and anything else we needed. She also made sure my daughter was comfortable. Charmaine had to reposition her in bed a lot. She made sure to give her seizure meds on time which eased her mind because she was afraid she would have a seizure. She took all our worries away with her kindness. I could tell she loves her job and caring for the patients.”
Thank you, Charmaine, for your caring spirit and thorough care for your patients and their families. Congratulations on this much-deserved honor!
