Golf Tournament Raises $15,000 for CHI St. Vincent Foundation
Representatives from the Hot Springs Village Women’s Golf Association (WGA) 18-Hole League presented a check for $15,647 to the CHI St. Vincent Foundation this week. The donation came from proceeds from the group’s annual Crush Cancer fundraiser tournament.
What’s remarkable about this donation is that the golf tournament itself was rained out. Heavy rains and winds made playing impossible on June 12. However, the majority of golfers stayed at the event to bid on silent auction items, buy 50/50 tickets, and shop raffle baskets. WGA’s goal was to raise $10,000 for the event, and it is a true accomplishment that they far surpassed that mark despite the inclement weather. Thank you so much to the Hot Springs Village WGA 18-Hole League!
The donation will be used to help offset the cost of immobilizer equipment used during radiation treatments.
