Hot Springs PCA Receives Service Hero Award

It’s not everyday that an American hero has praise for one of our coworkers, but that’s what happened for Riley Fields, a PCA at Hot Springs. Riley has received the CHI St. Vincent Service Hero Award after being recognized by a member of the Greatest Generation for his unwavering professionalism and calm, caring demeanor. Here’s his nomination:

“As a 92-year-old Korean War veteran of the United States Army, I have seen and done a lot during my life. That includes being a patient and visiting numerous people in hospitals in our country and the world. However, my most memorable experiences were at CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs, where I met this person. [Riley] demonstrates a high level of professionalism, consistently acting kind, calm, soft-spoken, caring and nurturing. Furthermore, his demeanor made me feel secure and relaxed. It made me believe that he genuinely enjoys his work. It also gave me the impression that he is dedicated to ensuring his patients’ well-being.”

Congratulations, Riley, on this well-deserved recognition! Remember, anyone can nominate a coworker for a Service Hero Award. If you know someone deserving, please take a moment to nominate them by clicking here.
