Hot Springs Senior Center Packs Pill Bottles to Support Samaritan

20160407_124539Volunteers of the CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs Senior Center have been involved in a project to support Samaritan Ministries of Hot Springs. #CHILivingOurMission

Members collected close to 200 empty pill bottles along with a variety of emergency supplies. The bottles were decorated and packed with bandages, antiseptic ointment, alcohol wipes, twist ties, cotton swabs, needle and thread, finger nail file, tooth pick, safety pin, matches, cotton balls, gum and mints.

They were presented to Wayne Douglass, Director of Men’s Services, Samaritan Ministries of Hot Springs a rescue mission for homeless men.

This mission serves homeless men with the love and compassion of Christ, encouraging them to become self-supporting members of the community, providing for their immediate and long-term needs and encouraging them to overcome the cause of homelessness in their life.
