Infirmary Social Worker Honored with Regional Award

Congratulations to Megan Sherman, LMSW, at the Infirmary on winning the CommonSpirit Health Social Work Excellence Award for the South region for FY25! Megan was selected from a large number of nominations from Georgia all the way to Texas!

Megan was selected for this award due to her drive and compassion to identify resources for some of our most complex patients in the critical care unit. She consistently displays a positive attitude and collaborates with the multidisciplinary teams to ensure her patients receive a safe discharge plan. In FY25, Megan played a crucial role in securing placement for several complex cases. She also received a CHI St. Vincent Service Hero award. Megan takes great pride in her work and often researches educational materials outside of working hours.
