Jennifer Wilson Recognized as Service Hero at Morrilton

Jennifer Wilson, RN MSSD, was named a Service Hero in Morrilton for displaying the value of COMPASSION.

Jennifer was caring for a patient who was being discharged over the weekend. The physician called in an antibiotic the patient needed to take post-discharge.

When Jennifer told the patient his medication was ready to be picked up, the patient said he could not afford it and would not be picking it up.

When the patient was discharged, Jennifer gave the patient $20 so he could get his medications.

Weekends can be challenging with limited resources. Jennifer showed compassion by taking care of a patient’s need personally without delaying the discharge or causing the patient any embarrassment.
