Congratulations Mandy Davis, Community Outreach Director, for being chosen as July’s Humankindess Chick-fil-A Award winner!

Mandy was nominated for the award by a coworker for the incredible works she’s done in the brief time she’s been in our ministry.

“She has proven that she has a passion for our Mission and our people.”

Mandy has worked strengthen old connections and establish new ones within our community. She has made it her mission to serve our patients and coworkers. She has used her knowledge and skills as a social worker to connect our patients and our coworkers with resources in the community.

One example of her dedication to helping our patients is her reorganization of the clothing closet.  Mandy identified a need for clothing for patients at discharge that was largely unmet or met through the extraordinary efforts of our coworkers.

She coordinated with several department to find and prepare a location, secure clothing and establish a process where our coworkers can access clothing for patients in need.

The coworker who nominated her also mentioned her involvement with the Waste Not Program, a program which takes leftover food from the cafeteria and makes it available at no cost to our coworkers.

“Mandy’s passion to help people seems to know no bounds.  She epitomizes what it means to be compassionate, collaborative and excellent when it comes to the care of God’s people both inside and outside of the hospital.”
