Medical Group Coworkers Share Humankindness and Snacks with Jacksonville Residents
The Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) recently hosted a health fair in Jacksonville bringing together a diverse group of providers to help residents in need. CHI St. Vincent Medical Group coworkers volunteered at the event.
The City of Jacksonville faces significant gaps in services, especially transportation, therefore, transportation to and from the event was provided. Service providers came with giveaways, free haircuts, wellness resources, job assistance and free lunches.
CHI St. Vincent’s Main St. Clinic and Braden Clinic staff volunteered. EngageMED staff made 100 snack bags to hand out at the event and CHI St. Vincent administration sponsored the bags.
“I realized that kindness isn’t just about the act of giving; it’s about showing up, listening, and just being present that matters the most,” said Rainey Bart, Regional Director of Practice Operations for the Medical Group.
Bart said the team loved being “present” to talk, hand out bags and discuss local resources with residents.
“When CALS reached out to me months ago asking if our clinics could participate in the fair, it was great to get back to them quickly with a YES! That’s thanks to our clinic staff, EngageMED staff, and Megan Bonney, President at SVN for sponsoring the event. Responding to our community when there’s a need is what we are called to do, it’s our Mission,” said Mandy Davis, Director of Community Outreach.
