Pets of St. Vincent – Aspen and Penny

Our Pets of St. Vincent this week are a sweet pair who have brought out the best in each other. Meet Aspen the Australian Shepherd and Penny the Corgi! The two belong to Matt Jackson, exercise physiologist at CHI St. Vincent Heart Clinic.

Matt tells us Aspen was the family’s original pet, but suffered from severe anxiety. While playing and hanging out with family helped, Aspen never fully settled down. But that all changed when Matt’s family found Penny. Penny instantly helped Aspen relax and destress, and brought him out of his shell. The pair are now inseparable, although Aspen really doesn’t care for dressing up as much as Penny does.

Thank you, Matt, for submitting your two precious pups!
