Pets of St. Vincent – Skye
Today we’re proud to recognize one of our own as a Pet of St. Vincent! This is Skye, a bearded collie owned by Dr. Robert Anderson, maxillofacial surgeon at the Infirmary!
Dr. Anderson bought Skye for his wife and gave her a name that honors her family’s Scottish heritage. Skye loves going on walks and is very playful and friendly. But she is also a big help with some of Dr. Anderson’s patients. Whenever Dr. Anderson has to operate on a child, he brings Skye to work and lets her meet the patient. Dr. Anderson says she makes children feel less scared and creates a more positive experience on what could be a very difficult day in a kid’s life.
We are big fans of Skye! Don’t forget, if you have a beloved four-legged companion, you can nominate them to be a Pet of St. Vincent. Just click this link, fill out the form and tell us all about them. Make sure you include some high-quality photos so we can share them here on the blog and on social media!
