Stacy Allen Wins Daisy Award

stacy-allen-morriltonStacy Allen, RN, was the December 2016 DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses winner at CHI St. Vincent. Allen is a MedSurg nurse in Morrilton.

Here’s an excerpt from her nomination letter:

“She was my nurse my last day and was so compassionate with me ensuring I had everything I needed on discharge and that my pain needs were met. She is an excellent team player and always is willing to lend a helpful hand to others in need. She explained all my discharge instructions to me and answered my questions for me and all of my family. She illustrates every core value CHI St. Vincent stands for and deserves this award more than anyone else.

The DAISY Award was established by the DAISY Foundation in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at 33 of ITP, an auto-immune disease. The Barnes Family was awestruck by the clinical skills, caring and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created this national award to say thank you to nurses everywhere.
