We’re Celebrating Our Team During Coworker Appreciation Week
Whitney Francis, an occupational therapist at the Infirmary, was named a Service Hero for displaying the value of COMPASSION and REVERENCE.
Whitney was nominated for the kindness she showed an elderly woman that she witnessed as she was walking to her car after work.
The woman was carrying a large trash bag of clothes and was walking with a cane but was very unsteady. The woman had been trying to find her car in the deck.
Whitney called Security and also began looking for the car herself. When the car was located, she assisted the woman to it. When they tried to start the car, they realized the car battery was dead. Whitney assisted the woman back to the hospital and contacted her manager to ask if someone could help with the battery.
“Whitney never hesitates to help someone in need. She is a kind and warm individual and serves as an excellent role model for her coworkers and others. I am proud to work with Whitney. She inspires me to do better daily.”
