A Calm, Reassuring Presence in Hot Springs DAISY Award Winner

We are pleased to announce that Jun Plasus, RN, at Hot Springs, has been honored with the DAISY Award! Jun is a source of positivity, endless compassion and a deeply reassuring presence for his patients. Here’s his nomination:

“He is a role model of excellence in the field of nursing. He is professional yet shows endless compassion for his patients. He not only takes care of the health issues of a patient, he also has a calming, reassuring personality that relieves some of the stress that comes from being in the hospital. He came immediately when my mother’s vein collapsed and she was losing her antibiotics and her IV. He calmed my mother, took care of the IV, cleaned her up as well as her bed linens and before leaving the room made sure that she was calm and didn’t need anything. He never enters a room without a smile on his face and never leaves the room before asking her if he can do anything for her. He took time and explained everything he was going to do before doing it. He treated my mother like she was the only patient in the hospital. He is an exemplary nurse. We were very blessed to have him during the hospital stay.”
