Alexis Johnson Recognized with Hot Springs DAISY Award

Alexis Johnson, RN in the Hot Springs Emergency Department, was recognized with a DAISY Award for her willingness to help out her coworkers during an especially busy night.

Alexis offered to help draw blood cultures in various areas, helping out her team members as well as the patients.

“The nurse was so kind and helpful to our floor. I appreciate her! She deserves recognition for her generosity and caring to help coworkers and the patients.”

The DAISY Award was established by the DAISY Foundation in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at 33 of ITP, an auto-immune disease. The Barnes Family was awestruck by the clinical skills, caring and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created the national award to thank nurses everywhere.
