Annual Performance Reviews Open June 29

Performance review time is coming up! The first step of the review process, self-reviews, can begin on June 29, when the review system opens. Ratings on performance reviews help determine eligibility for employee merit increases.*
New this year: Employees will be asked to rate themselves on a question related to culture as part of self-reviews: “To what extent has the employee contributed to a mission-driven, high- performance culture as appropriate for their role within the organization?”**
This culture question may seem familiar because it is one of the questions on which managers rate employees’ performance. Adding it to the self-review encourages employees to deliberately consider how they are contributing to a healthy workplace and to come prepared for richer performance conversations with their managers. It signals our belief that everyone across our ministry plays a role in creating a positive environment where our people are eager and able to be and do their best. For people managers and senior executive team members, employee feedback from the MyVoice Employee Experience Survey is a key input into how they are rated on the culture question.
Also new this year, guides to help frame conversations about performance and development are available in the Performance Management Toolkit in EmployeeCentral:
- Self-Assessment Reflection Guide
- Giving and Receiving Feedback Guide
- Annual Performance Conversation Guide

One system: Employees will use CommonSpirit Pathways* to complete their performance review tasks. All employees who previously used My HR Information (Infor) for performance reviews will now use Pathways. The review process in Pathways will be easier and more intuitive, and will require fewer steps and fewer clicks.
Giving and receiving feedback: To prepare, you may want to look at these on-demand courses for employees, “Receiving feedback with an open mind” and for managers, “Delivering feedback that encourages growth.” Go to this one-stop -shop page and click Continue on the Learning Library section for more information.
Resources: Check out this one-stop-shop page, which provides access to everything you need to complete performance reviews, including links to the Performance Management Training Toolkit, training sessions, learning videos and courses.
Performance reviews are an opportunity to celebrate the gifts employees bring to our healing ministry. Thank you for contributing to our ministry’s success.
*Some represented employees and employees using their local HR system may be part of a different review process. This does not apply to them.
**This question will be slightly different if the employee is a leader.
