With weather forecasts projecting a major winter event in Arkansas, CHI St. Vincent is putting its inclement weather policy in effect starting Friday at 3 p.m. The policy is in effect for the entire Arkansas market. The full inclement weather policy can be found here; please read it and familiarize yourself with the changes that will happen over the next few days. Some of the highlights of this policy include:
- Staff will be classified as essential or non-essential when the inclement weather policy is in effect. Essential personnel are defined as those involved with direct care of the patient or support patient care areas and must report to work as scheduled. Non-essential personnel are defined as those not involved with direct patient care and will not, as a general rule, report to work.
- A Command Center will be established and manned 24/7 by members of the Administrative Leadership team. This team will assist with staffing as needed, coordinate housing for staffing, assist with meal service and staff communications, among other responsibilities.
In addition, all coworkers who are working in one of our hospitals will receive one free meal per shift. The free meal is limited to the entree line and fountain drinks. Items from the grill, bottled drinks, grab-and-go items, desserts and snacks will be available for purchase as usual. The cafeterias at the Infirmary and Hot Springs will be open as usual. The cafeteria at North will be open until 7 p.m. during inclement weather, while the cafeteria in Morrilton will be open over the weekend.
Please contact your supervisor if you have any questions. If you are driving into work, please go slowly and drive safely.
