Your Heritage Week Celebration Schedule is Here

Heritage Week 2026 is Sept. 21–26, and we have a full week of events and celebrations planned across our ministry. Heritage Week is our birthday celebration. St. Vincent Infirmary and St. Joseph’s in Hot Springs were founded in 1888, and we’ve spent the last 138 years caring for the sick in our state.

To mark the occasion, we have a full slate of events planned at all four hospital campuses. The individual hospital schedules are linked below and have been posted by the time clocks on each campus. Here’s a brief explanation of each event on the calendar:

  • Heritage Week Awards: This is the highest honor we bestow every year at St. Vincent. Each campus will recognize a recipient of the Service Excellence Award, named for Sr. Teresa Joseph Babcock in Central Arkansas and Sr. Dorothy Calhoun in Hot Springs. We will also recognize a Hot Springs team member with the Deacon Patrick McCruden Leadership Award, and a physician with the Michael Young, MD, Physician Excellence Award. Finally, we will honor one Central Arkansas leader as the recipient of the Sr. Margaret Vincent Blandford Leadership Award. Each campus will hold an award ceremony, followed by a reception with refreshments.
  • Coffee Cart Leadership Rounding: After the Heritage Awards ceremony, Dr. Jones and hospital leaders will take a coffee and tea cart around to the units to provide refreshments to clinical staff and say thank you for your work. This will be a brief drop-in and a chance to catch up with our market president!
  • Coworker Gift Giveaway: This year our team members will have a choice of which coworker gift they want to receive. We have three gifts to choose from as our way of saying thank you for all the work you do here.
  • Free Meal: Our Food and Nutrition Services team has put together a wonderful barbecue menu for a free lunch on all campuses! This will be held on Tuesday at the Infirmary, Hot Springs and North, and on Friday at Morrilton. There will also be a free meal on Saturday for our weekend team, and free food truck meal or boxed meals for our weekday night crews.
  • Free Frozen Treats: In addition to a meal, we’ll be providing free frozen desserts at each hospital campus as well. These treats will be given out at the cafeteria on each campus all day long.
  • Pop-up Shop: Each campus will host a special pop-up shop with discounted pricing on our new ringer t-shirts and polos! The discount is good from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the pop-up. You can find the shop in the cafeteria at Morrilton and North, and in the gift shop at Hot Springs and the Infirmary.
  • Free Yoga Class: Each campus will host at least one beginner-level yoga class free for all coworkers. We’ve scheduled the classes so that at least one on each campus happens before shift change. Please bring your yoga mat if you have one; if you don’t have one, our instructors will have a limited number on hand for you to use. We encourage attendees to show up on time, but if you’re late you can still come in!
  • Free Mobile Detailing: Lastly, a small number of lucky coworkers have been selected at random to receive free detailing of their vehicle! All winners have been notified via their CommonSpirit email, and leaders will be following up as well. If you have been selected, please make sure to fill out the form you were emailed so we can get the mobile detailers your information.

We can’t say thank you all enough for all that you do for our ministry. You can see the schedule for all four campuses on the PDF viewer below. We hope you enjoy the celebrations during Heritage Week!
