Pets of St. Vincent – Hermes

Our Pet of St. Vincent this week wants to make sure that you’re paying attention to him at all times. So let’s do that right now! Everybody meet Hermes, an orange tabby belonging to Cheyenne Berryhill, RN, at the Infirmary!

The name Hermes comes from Greek mythology, as Hermes was the messenger of Zeus. That tracks, because Hermes clearly feels that he has been sent to deliver a divine message: pay attention to me. Hermes been known to bap the phone out of someone’s hand or lay right in front of your face so that he can get petted. Cheynne tells us that Hermes is very, very orange (which we’re pretty sure is a reference to the famous One Orange Braincell subreddit). Some of Hermes’s favorite activities are playing and screaming at the birds from his cat tree. However, is favorite thing of all he is snuggles with Mom at the end of the day.

We will make sure Hermes is the center of attention! Thanks to Cheyenne for sharing him with us. If you want to see your animal friend in this space, make sure to nominate them to be a Pet of St. Vincent!
