Annual Benefit Enrollment Open Through Nov. 13
CommonSpirit’s annual benefit enrollment is now open! This is the time for you to update your healthcare coverage, change contributions to your retirement and make elections for your flexible spending account. This year, there are some changes all employees need to be aware of before making their selections:
- We are changing our medical plan administrator from BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois. While there are no changes to the plan or your coverage amounts or your provider network, you will receive new medical plan cards from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois and should replace your old card details with all your providers and pharmacies.
- Medical plans with Judi Health (formerly Capital Rx) will move to a new pharmacy benefit manager, Optum Rx. While your prescription drug coverage and coverage amounts are not changing, there are some changes to be aware of, including to the formulary drug list. Additionally, some team members will see a change in where mail order and specialty prescriptions can be filled. You will receive information from Optum Rx in the coming weeks with information about transferring your prescriptions to Optum Rx mail order if applicable. Your new medical cards will include updated pharmacy information.
- During the annual benefit enrollment period, you will have the opportunity to update your annual employer contribution election. You can choose the 401(k) or cash balance/pension option. You are not required to make a change, but if you wish to make a change, your election will apply to all future annual employer contributions, beginning with the contribution based on the 2027 calendar year. The annual employer contribution based on the 2026 calendar year will still be determined by your current election.
- Health savings accounts now have a maximum contribution limit of $4,500 for individuals and $9,000 for families. Flexible spending accounts are now capped at $3,400, with a maximum of $680 allowed to be carried over from the previous year. You must elect to participate in a flexible spending account for 2027 in order to use the carryover balance from 2026.
Time to get started! Head over to the Annual Benefit Enrollment page on My Total Rewards for everything you need to make your 2027 benefit elections.
