Bob Sarkar is New Leader of Arkansas Health Network
Bob Sarkar became President of the Arkansas Health Network (AHN) in December 2015. Part of CHI St. Vincent, AHN is clinically integrated network created in 2012.
His focus is to ensure the AHN succeeds in improving the quality of care at a lower cost, while improving the patient experience at CHI St. Vincent.
Sarkar was responsible for population health management and health plan development as the Senior Vice Present of Operations/Value-Based Care for Premier Health in Dayton, Ohio and as the Regional VP & Chief Strategy Officer for Presence Health in Chicago, Ill. In addition, he has provided consulting services to some of the leading healthcare providers across the country, including Kaiser Permanente, Advocate and Aetna. Most recently, he served as the National Leader of Healthcare and Practice Vice President for Sogeti/Capgemini in Dayton, Ohio.
Sakar earned his Master of Business Administration at the University of Illinois and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology at the University of Kentucky. He also earned an Associate Degree in Biosciences at the University of Calcutta, India.
He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Academy of Managed Care Providers, National Association of Accountable Care Organizations, Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development and the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society.
