Brad Wirges Recognized as Service Hero at Infirmary

Brad Wirges, Surgery ANI at Infirmary, was recognized as a Service Hero for exemplifying team work and COMPASSION.  As a critical patient was moving from CVOR from Cath lab, Brad was walking between OR and CVOR. He did not hesitate to put on a mask and help take the patient to the room, move to the OR table and position. During intubation, the patient coded and the patient was prepped for surgery. Brad donned sterile gloves to assist in CPR if needed. The patient was prepared and draped and the procedure started with the primary team. Brad scrubbed in to pass instruments for the secondary team to explore patient’s groin and assess and stop the bleeding.
