Cassandra Jimerson Named Service Hero at Infirmary
Cassandra Jimerson, CBP/Registry, was named Service Hero at the Infirmary for displaying the value of COMPASSION, INTEGRITY and EXCELLENCE. Nominated by Vanessa Jensen who wrote,
“Cassandra, a long time PCT, is consistently working extra to help cover shifts.”
Vanessa shared that Cassandra was working on 3N and was asked to be a 1:1 sitter when she realized that one of our PCT’s that just finished orientation that week was on the floor, alone. Cassandra showed great compassion for a “new” tech being placed in that position and offered to switch with the new PCT, letting her sit with the patient while she worked the floor. The new PCT was very thankful and admitted that she wasn’t sure how she was going to get through the day.
The staffing office was able to get more techs on the floor by mid morning to help, but Cassandra showed compassion to her co-worker, integrity in wanting our patients to receive the most experienced help and excellence in taking on the entire floor alone without hesitation.
Cassandra shared that she everyone to be aware of new coworkers to assure they are not overwhelmed. She is my service hero!
