CHI St. Vincent Rewarded for Enhancing Patient Care

CHI St. Vincent recently received a $900,000 performance bonus payment from Arkansas Medicaid and the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care (AFMC) as part of the annual Inpatient Quality Incentive (IQI) program.

The IQI program requires hospitals to meet specific goals for a number of quality measures – certain aspects of care proven to improve outcomes for patients such as smoking cessation, newborn screenings and more.

Since inception of the IQI program in 2007, Arkansas Medicaid has awarded more than $31 million to hospitals that have participated in the program and successfully improved their quality of care.
