CommonSpirit Health Launches Veteran Initiative Pathways (VIP) Program
Daniel Barchi, a Navy veteran and CommonSpirit Health SEVP and Chief Information Officer, is excited to share a new CommonSpirit program that has the goal to hire more service veterans to serve in humankindness.
The CommonSpirit Veterans Initiative Pathways (VIP) Program offers service members transitioning out of the military, military spouses, and veterans who have already exited a pathway into health care career opportunities within CommonSpirit.
This work is part of a larger CommonSpirit goal to develop programs to recruit and hire a diverse workforce that reflects our values of Compassion, Inclusion, Integrity, Excellence and Collaboration.
We currently have more than 3,200 CommonSpirit veteran colleagues in clinical and nonclinical roles across our ministry.
A military skills translator is available on our CommonSpirit career site at commonspirit.careers/veterans. This tool will help translate Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) codes to civilian skill sets and match those to current CommonSpirit job openings. Please share this site with your family and friends who may be transitioning from the service to a civilian career.
Thank you to our current CommonSpirit service veterans and family members for their service to our country!
