Dr. Chris Young Named Service Hero at Hot Springs

Dr. Chris Young at Hot Springs has been named a Service Hero for displaying the value of COMPASSION. In a recent “Letter to the Editor” of the Sentinel-Record, a patient wrote:

“In all my 82 years, I have never seen such an act of caring consideration.

I was recently being prepared for surgery at St. Vincent Hospital. My wife was sitting in the prep room also and was shivering cold. My surgeon, Dr. Chris Young was with us explaining what was about to be done. He left the room stating, ‘I’ll see you in there.’

Moments later he reappeared with two large warmed blankets and wrapped them around my wife, snug and warm. I have had many surgeries and my wife is a retired surgical nurse and neither of us have ever seen such an act of consideration and care by a surgeon. And, as long as he was there, Dr. Young also saved my leg.

This is a special man and a special doctor!”
