Eat Pizza and Support Garland, Clark County Kids

Hot Springs coworkers know there’s plenty of good grub in the area, but did you know you can eat at SQZBX Pizza and Brewery and also help kids in need in the community?

SQZBX Pizza and Brewery lets customers round up their tab to support Ouachita Children’s Center.

The center offers an emergency shelter and respite care as well as outreach programs, case management and support services in both Garland and Clark counties.

The restaurant said they first got involved with the Ouachita Children’s Center emergency shelter by hosting a pizza night at the restaurant. They said they met many of the staff, and were moved by their dedication to children who need temporary help.

The change donated in November supports the drop-in youth center, and Buddy’s Street Outreach for teens.

“Each gift is small, but we’re averaging about $250 a month that OCYFS uses for people who need help. We’re happy that a little money will help them serve up a big heart for families in stress,” said Cheryl Roorda, SQZBX Pizza and Brewery.
