Free Waste Not Food Program Now Available to Coworkers

The Infirmary’s new Waste Not Food Program has been created to reduce food waste, while providing coworkers a meal. Leftover retail and patient food will be flash frozen to provide meals to coworkers at no charge.

Meals will be handed out each week on Mondays from 12:30 – 3:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (while supplies last), in the old Best Cellar space on the ground floor of the Infirmary.

Volunteers from ACCESS Life and Hall High Containment Classes will assist in handing out the food. Both of these groups are made up of young adults with disabilities who are receiving vocational training.

In the inaugural month, we have served 526 meals, 496 people in 41 different zip codes!
