Heart for Patients From a Food and Nutrition Services Coworker

We are thrilled to announce that Whitney Barnes, from Food and Nutrition Services at the Infirmary, has received the CHI St. Vincent Service Hero Award! Even though Whitney is a part of our food services staff, it’s her wonderful spirit and attitude during rounds that drew her coworkers’ praise. Here’s her nomination:

“Whitney Barnes is our teammate on the 4N Rounding team. She is part of the Gift Shop/Food Services staff. Whitney truly goes above and beyond everyday to round on patients. She does extra rooms without being asked. She covers for any and everyone when they are unable to round. Maybe the most important part is that she does all this with a smile and such a sweet spirit. It’s obvious that she truly cares about patients being heard and feeling cared for. Our rounding team literally could not do it without her.”
