Heart Institute RN Honored With Humankindness Award
Congratulations to Lauren Kincannon, RN, with CHI St. Vincent Heart Institute on receiving the Chick-fil-A Humankindness Award! Lauren was recognized for her heart of humble service, always stepping up to help a patient or a coworkers when it’s needed. Here’s a portion of her nomination:
“Lauren has never hesitated to lend a hand, even when it’s outside the scope of her defined job duties. Whether it’s helping a team member through a tough situation or stepping in to complete a task that others might see as ‘not theirs.’ There’s a quiet strength in the way she leads: rational, compassionate, and unwavering. Just the other day, I was balancing three separate patient needs all with the same priority level. In the moment I felt overwhelmed but knew I could call on Lauren to help. She immediately volunteered to address one of the patient needs – from start to finish. This not only was a huge help to me, it helped to not delay care that the patient needed.”
Thank you, Lauren, for your attitude of service and charity. We also want to give a special thank you to Chick-fil-A at Markham and University for sponsoring our Humankindness Award!
