Hot Springs Central Sterile Celebrates <1% Flash Rate

One year ago the CHI St Vincent Hot Springs Central Sterile department set the goal of reducing flash significantly from their flash rate of ~12%.

The staff in Central Sterile used process improvement principles, in collaboration with the OR staff, to re-organize their workflows, move around equipment, and implement quality checks.  This week, the CHI St Vincent Hot Springs Central Sterile Department celebrated 1 year of a flash rate <1%.  CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs leadership went to the department  to thank the co-workers personally.
