Hot Springs Nurse Honored with DAISY Award

We are proud to announce that Jenn Edgar, RN, at Hot Springs, has received the DAISY Award! Jenn was honored for her unwavering support of a new mom during a challenging moment. Here’s her nomination:

“She shows so many values of a DAISY nurse. She was the nurse the day my son was born and took care of my son directly after birth. She listened to ALL of my wants as a first time mom for my son. She treated not only me, but my family as the patient the entire time she cared for us. Even a few days later when my son had to be transferred to ACH, she was there. She even advocated for me to do skin to skin to help improve my son’s breathing while waiting for the ACH transport team to arrive. I will NEVER forget that moment because it was the only constant and secure peace I felt when I felt my world was falling apart everywhere else. She was constantly checking on me and my family even when she wasn’t our nurse. She made some scary moments that much easier for a first time mom and I’m so thankful for her!”
