Service Hero Honor for RN Who Stayed Late for a Patient

Congratulations to Lauren Martin, PCA, of Hot Springs on being named a CHI St. Vincent Service Hero! Lauren was nominated by a grateful family member of a patient who had an urgent need that happened right around shift change. Here’s what they wrote:

“Mom asked to use the bedside commode just before shift change. When there was a mix up and incoming tech hadn’t arrived yet, Lauren stayed over an hour after her shift ended to help care for mom and get her cleaned up. She was patient and sweet the entire time. She truly went about and beyond to provide excellent care.”

We know that shift change can be a bit chaotic at times, so we’re very grateful to Lauren for staying with her patient and making sure her needs were met. Thank you, Lauren! Don’t forget, if you know of a coworker who has gone out of their way to take care of others, you can nominate them for a Service Hero award! Just click this link and fill out the form to tell us why they’re deserving.
