Infirmary PICC Team Learns New Technique to Enhance Patient Safety

The Infirmary PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) team met a new goal in February by completing Internal Jugular (IJ) insertion training. Once the team has completed their training, they will begin inserting IJ’s at the patient’s bedside.

This new practice for these specially trained nurses will help to achieve the goal of “the Right Line at the  Right Time”.
