James Hendrix Named Service Hero at Hot Springs

James Hendrix, who works on the anesthesia team in Hot Springs, was named a Service Hero for displaying the value of COMPASSION.

James was nominated by the daughter of a patient. The woman brought her elderly mother to the emergency department for treatment, but because of COVID-19 visitor restrictions, she was not able to stay with her.

“I cried as I left knowing she was alone and in so much pain and scared.”

 Her mother had to have emergency surgery, and James kept the daughter informed throughout the procedure.

“James texted me frequently with updates on my mother and let my mother know that I was checking on her. I cannot thank him enough for taking such great care of my mother and keeping this nervous daughter informed of everything.“
