Jamie Smith Recognized with Hot Springs DAISY Award

Jamie Smith, RN, a patient care coordinator on 5East in Hot Springs, was recognized with a DAISY Award. Jamie was nominated by a patient who praised him as the “top in his field.”

“Jamie is a phenomenal nurse. He is so kind, caring and understanding. He is compassionate, professional and very smart. He answers my questions and is so patient. You are truly blessed to have him as a part of your team.”

The DAISY Award was established by the DAISY Foundation in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at 33 of ITP, an auto-immune disease. The Barnes Family was awestruck by the clinical skills, caring and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created the national award to thank nurses everywhere.
