Lindsay Mulkey is the New Substance Use Prevention Specialist in Hot Springs

In 2016, our Hot Springs campus was awarded a $71,510 Violence Prevention Grant to address violence prevention through suicide prevention efforts for Garland County. After six months of great success with the program and a Substance Abuse Prevention Block Grant, we’ve expanded our Suicide Prevention team and hired Lindsay Mulkey as the new Substance Use Prevention Specialist.

Lindsay has lived in Hot Springs for 10 years, after moving to Arkansas from Oklahoma. She began an undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Oklahoma, but later decided she wanted a career that directly impacted people’s lives. Her life philosophy is to leave the world a better place than she found it. Her goal with this position is to inspire others to change their communities by being a voice for a topic that often gets overlooked.
