Malnutrition Awareness Week and Free CE Opportunities
CHI St. Vincent is proud to partner with ASPEN, (American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition) for ASPEN Malnutrition Awareness Week Sept. 8-12. As part of this partnership, CHI St. Vincent coworkers will have access to free webinars that carry continuing education credits.
Malnutrition Awareness Week aims to educate healthcare professionals on the early detection, prevention, and treatment of malnutrition and to encourage consumers to discuss their nutrition status with healthcare providers. Malnutrition is linked with a host of increased risk factors for patients, including an increased likelihood for serious infections and increased risk for inpatient mortality.
As ambassadors, CHI St. Vincent coworkers have complimentary access to ASPEN’s Malnutrition Awareness Week webinars and resources. Most of the webinars offer CE credits, but space is limited, so register now to reserve your spot. Enter the code MAW-CHIStVincent at checkout to attend the webinar at no charge. Click here for instructions on registering for the webinars and claiming CE credit.
Please also check out ASPEN’s Malnutrition Solution Center where there are practice tools, videos, podcasts, and papers for clinicians, as well as resources for patients. We’ve included a few graphics below that can be used on social media or in presentations. For more information, visit https://nutritioncare.org/MAW.
