National Wear Red Day is Friday, Feb. 6
As part of our partnership with the American Heart Association, CHI St. Vincent is proud to observe National Wear Red Day on Friday, Feb. 6. The national event raises awareness for women’s heart health and is observed by thousands of organizations around the country.
Cardiovascular disease is the top killer of women in the United States. Nearly 45 percent of adult women in this country live with some form of cardiovascular disease. Since 2004, the American Heart Association has focused on women’s heart health and addressing some of the clinical care gaps that women experience. Go Red for Women is the signature initiative that raises awareness for women’s cardiovascular health.
On Friday, we encourage all CHI St. Vincent coworkers to wear red, whether it’s a tie or a lapel pin, or a t-shirt or even a full set of scrubs (if appropriate for your work area). Let’s show our community that we take women’s heart health seriously and help raise awareness in Arkansas and beyond.
